Dr. Eva Grunfeld accepted the role of Cameron Chair in Cancer Control Research in April 2008, becoming Canada’s first chair in cancer control research. Dr. Grunfeld is a world authority in this field, which examines quality and accessibility of cancer services from prevention and screening to diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and end-of-life care. She will provide policy makers, health professionals and managers with information to help them improve access to quality cancer screening, treatment and care. Her multi-faceted role as a Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at Dalhousie University and Capital Health, and Director of Cancer Care Nova Scotia’s Cancer Outcomes Research Program, positions her to make a powerful positive impact on the design and delivery of cancer services in the province.
