Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation supports a variety of grants and awards programs. These include capital equipment grants, scholarships, fellowships, and recognition awards for research achievements.

Members of the Dalhousie medical research community are also encouraged to nominate their colleagues for awards presented at the annual Community of Scholars dinner. DMRF provides cash prizes for the Max Forman Award and several DMRF Awards of Excellence.
